After one month of Chicago baseball, the Bears draft, and the Bulls never ending season here is some things to look for in the month of May.
1. Since the White Sox seem to get older by the month look for them to have seven stolen bases this month. Also, when you get older your eye sight seems to give, so batting .227 as a team seems more reasonable than the tremendous .237 they hit in April.
2. The Chicago Cubs had a team record 17 wins in April. The Cubs will be going in the last game of month for win number 18, but Wood blows the save. Therefore, look for Cub great Mark DeRosa to go to skipper Lou Pinealla and suggest he should close. Not only do Cub fans think he is great at everything, but so does he.
3. Since I am a betting man, my bet would be the next time the Reds visit Wrigley, Marty Brennaman will leave with less teeth than he came with.
4. The Bears will sell Matt Forte to the fans because he can be a three down back with his good blocking skills. A good three down back that can block for the QB will definitely be an upgrade for the running game. Did Angelo mention he runs straight up and had a 300 yard game against SMU?
5. First, the Bulls will be in a heated search for a head coach. Second, the Bulls will over evaluate talent in this years up coming draft class. Lastly, for their underachieving season the team is going to raise ticket prices. Oops that already happened.
In closing, my trip to Vegas will lead me to win ten grand and I enter the World Series of Poker in July.

I love the comment about Brennaman. He is such an idiot. One of his most memorable moments is the riot he started, causing Reds fans to litter the field with trash. At least the Cubs fans threw baseballs instead of garbage. What a hypocrite.
.227 might be a reach. You have to remember to factor in Uribe. I can't believe Ozzie attributed their early success to that waste.
Bulls...I am hoping for a Hinrich, Deng, and 1st round pick for T-Mac and Luther Head swap. To boot, they could bring in Avery Johnson or Terry Porter. If that happens, I might reply to the increased invoice I received for season ticket renewal. I seriously thought about putting in a personal letter and telling them they owe me money. Yeah, checks in the mail for those.
Derosa...are you just jealous that he has surpassed Steve Lyons as the greatest all-utility Chicago player?
I could not agree with you more on .227 being a reach, especially after watching these last two games. As for the Bulls (wait I just think the Sox hit another SOLO HOMER) the Rockets would be stupid to do that trade. They be trading talented NBA players for good college players. Also, my advice to you is save your money on the season tickets. You could go three baseball trips with that money. In addition, I thought Ramon Martinez was the best utility player in Chicago history. Finally, about the word verification (whoa, hold up, I think the Sox just stranded the bases loaded with less than one out) I will change it, I apologize for the inconvience.

I think Derosa comment was uncalled for. Jealous is all it is. The guy does not talk in third person about himself and he is probably the happiest

Sosa wins the award for being happy but DeRosa is a very happy guy. Hey can you blame him look at the crowd at wrigley hot chicks and cubby white guys... It's not like he is playing at U.S. "neverSellout" Celluar.
The Bulls should not be a topic of conversation until late July...At this point there will only be one chicago Team in the playoffs.

Personally, I would keep myself anonymous too with those weak comments. Why is there such a man crush for Mark "I love to hear myself talk " DeRosa. The guy does more television/radio interviews then he does gettin hits in clutch situations. Also, I thought Moises "Blame it on the fan" Alou pissed on his hands. I do agree with the your comment about Bulls talk. Though I do think Bulls talk should not start until February of 09 when football is over.
